Kylie Veale Sotheren

Provisional Psychologist

Kylie is a provisional psychologist currently completing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Clinical Psychology. She has a strong interest in cognitive, intellectual, learning, and behavioural assessments for both children and adults. Kylie’s areas of focus include depression, anxiety, self-esteem, adjustment issues, grief and loss, coping with chronic illness, end-of-life concerns, and developmental disabilities such as ASD, ADHD, and learning disorders. With a background in IT software development and project management, Kylie brings a thoughtful and analytical approach to her assessments and therapeutic work, enabling her to carefully explore complex issues and apply evidence-based interventions in a structured and supportive manner. 

Kylie has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults, and values collaboration with patients, families, and other professionals. She is skilled in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), and Prolonged Grief Disorder Therapy (PGDT). Kylie is dedicated to providing compassionate and effective psychological assessments and support, helping clients navigate life’s challenges and enhance their emotional well-being
